SUMMARY:Q&A With an Emerging Leader: Gia Bell
DESCRIPTION:**  ONLINE EVENT  **\n\n\nJoin ATHENA Akron virtually via Zoom as we welcome Gia Bell\, Chief Program Officer\, JRC (JRCcares.org). Gia will tell us her story and answer questions from our moderator. Chat will be open for questions from our attendees.  \nCost:  There is no charge for this program; however\, donations are welcome. A portion of your donation goes to non-profits that positively impact the lives of women in our community.  \nAn email containing a private Zoom link and a PDF copy of Gia’s full bio will be sent to all registrants on Tuesday evening\, July 25th. \n\n\n\nG﻿ia Bell \nGia D. Bell is both a passionate and servant leader\, who is frequently called upon for her advocacy for Autism and underrepresented populations. She leads mainly by example\, always doing her best and encouraging others to do the same. Gia is the recipient of Women’s Network Leadership Institute Laura Allio Emerging Leaders award at the Greater Akron Chamber. She was also the recipient of the 30 For the Future Award through the Young Professional Network.  \nGia has received Congressional Recognition from her work on Autism. She led the project at Cleveland Clinic Akron General to designate Cleveland Clinic the first Adult Autism Friendly Hospitals in the nation. Gia graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She is currently the Chief Program Officer at a Social Service Organization.  \nGia serves on the board at the United Way of Summit and Medina County\, Women’s Network Leadership Institute Leadership Council\, and Ohio Gap Closers. She is a member of the Torchbearers Akron’s Class of 2020. She is a graduate of the Leadership Akron Signature Program Class 39. She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Zeta Theta Omega Chapter\, ATHENA Akron\, Change Direction Committee\, the Greater Akron Chamber\, and the Women’s Research Council.
