Annual ATHENA Akron Events

The ATHENA Women’s Leadership Day program connects established women leaders and emerging women leaders. Established women leaders invite an emerging woman leader to lunch, as their guest. This provides a venue to support emerging women leaders.

The prestigious ATHENA International Leadership Awards recognize exemplary leaders for their professional achievement, community involvement, and for actively assisting women in reaching their full leadership potential.

At the annual business meeting and holiday celebration, members elect the slate of officers for the coming year and celebrate our year’s accomplishments. This holiday event is an opportunity to meet and connect with ATHENA Akron members.

ATHENA Akron’s after-hours welcome reception honors established women leaders in our community who are new to their positions, and provides members and guests an opportunity to meet and connect with women leaders, elected officials, and local presidents and CEOs.

ATHENAPOWERLINK® PROGRAM

The ATHENAPowerLink® program links women business owners with a local volunteer board of advisors for a 12-month period, during which time women focus on the specific objectives of their business. Their volunteer advisors provide expertise, access to new networks, best practices and strategic planning for growth.
